Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about getting your campus event sponsored

Getting Started

How does Campus Event Connect work?

It's simple! You submit your event details through our form. We then pitch your event (anonymously) to our network of brand partners who are looking to sponsor campus events. If a brand is interested, we contact you directly to finalize the sponsorship. There's no cost to student organizations—ever.

Is this really free for student organizations?

Yes! 100% free. We never charge student organizations. Our goal is to make sponsorship accessible to every student org.

What types of events can get sponsored?

Almost anything! We've successfully matched sponsors with parties, formals, fundraisers, hackathons, conferences, networking events, competitions, chapter meetings, and more. If your event reaches college students, there's likely a brand interested in supporting it.

What if my event is small?

Size isn't everything! We've matched sponsorships for events ranging from 25 to 500+ attendees. What matters more is your event's engagement potential, audience quality, and what you can offer sponsors. Even intimate events can offer valuable brand experiences.

The Process

How long does it take to find a sponsor?

It varies. Events with longer lead times (2+ months out) have better chances of securing larger sponsorships. Urgent events (within 30 days) can still find sponsors, but options may be more limited. We recommend submitting as early as possible.

What happens after I submit my event?

We review your submission within 24-48 hours and start pitching to relevant brands in our network. If there's interest, we'll reach out directly!

Can I submit multiple events?

Absolutely! If your organization hosts multiple events throughout the year, feel free to submit each one separately. Many organizations use our platform for all their major events.

What if no brand is interested?

We'll let you know if we're unable to find a match. While we can't guarantee sponsorship for every event, we pitch to dozens of brands. If timing or fit isn't right this time, you can always resubmit for future events. We're also happy to provide feedback on how to make your event more attractive to sponsors.

Sponsorship Details

How much sponsorship can I expect?

It varies widely based on event size, timing, and what you're offering. We've seen sponsorships range from $500 for smaller events to $5,000+ for large-scale events with significant reach. Be realistic about your event's value when filling out the form.

What do sponsors typically expect in return?

Common sponsorship benefits include: product sampling at your event, logo placement on promotional materials, social media mentions, booth/table space at the event, speaking opportunities, or branded photo moments. The specific asks vary by brand and sponsorship level.

Do we have to give up creative control of our event?

No! Your event stays 100% yours. Sponsors are there to support and enhance your event, not take it over. You'll discuss and agree on any brand presence before finalizing the sponsorship. If something doesn't feel right, you're under no obligation to accept.

What types of brands sponsor campus events?

All kinds! We work with beverage companies, tech brands, consumer goods, food & snack brands, wellness companies, financial services, and more. We match brands based on alignment with your event type and audience.

Requirements & Eligibility

Does my organization need to be officially registered?

Yes, you should be a recognized student organization at your university. This gives brands confidence and typically helps with on-campus logistics. If you're not official yet, we recommend getting registered first—it opens more doors!

Do I need to have hosted events before?

No! First-time events are welcome. While past event success helps, new events with solid planning and realistic expectations can definitely find sponsors. Just be clear and detailed about your plans.

Are there any restrictions on what events we can submit?

Events should be appropriate and follow your university's policies. We don't facilitate sponsorships for events that violate university policy, or events that promote harmful activities. When in doubt, just ask!

What if my school has rules about sponsorships?

Many universities do have policies around external sponsorships. You're responsible for ensuring any sponsorship complies with your school's rules. We're happy to provide documentation or answer questions that help you work with your administration.
