Welcome to Campus Event Connect. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website campuseventconnect.com and the services we provide ("Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Description of Services

Campus Event Connect is a platform that connects student organizations seeking event sponsorship with brands interested in sponsoring campus events. Our Services include:

  • Allowing student organizations to submit event details for sponsorship opportunities
  • Allowing brands to join our events list and receive notifications about relevant sponsorship opportunities
  • Facilitating introductions and connections between matched parties
  • Providing tips, resources, and information related to campus event sponsorship

We act as a connector and facilitator. We do not guarantee that any submission will result in a sponsorship, and we are not a party to any sponsorship agreements between student organizations and brands.

2. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian
  • Represent a valid student organization, university, or brand entity
  • Provide accurate and complete information when using our forms
  • Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws

3. User Accounts and Submissions

When you submit an event or join our events list, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Update your information if it changes
  • Not impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any contact information you provide and for all activities that occur in connection with your submission.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' data, or any third-party systems
  • Use the Services to send spam, unsolicited communications, or commercial solicitations
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
  • Use automated means (e.g., scrapers, bots) to access the Services without our permission

We reserve the right to refuse service, remove submissions, or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

The Services, including our website, content, logo, and design, are owned by Campus Event Connect and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission. You retain ownership of any content you submit, but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and share your submitted information for the purpose of providing our Services (e.g., matching you with brands or organizations).

6. Third-Party Relationships

Our Services facilitate connections between student organizations and brands. Any sponsorship, partnership, or business arrangement that results from our matching is solely between those parties. Campus Event Connect is not a party to any such agreements and is not responsible for:

  • The conduct, performance, or obligations of any student organization or brand
  • Any disputes arising between matched parties
  • Payment terms, deliverables, or fulfillment of sponsorship agreements

We encourage all parties to enter into written agreements and conduct due diligence before committing to any sponsorship.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY SUBMISSION WILL RESULT IN A SPONSORSHIP OR CONNECTION.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAMPUS EVENT CONNECT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ANY CONDUCT OF THIRD PARTIES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Campus Event Connect and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or any dispute between you and another user or third party.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Services, you consent to our collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Services.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Services at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) shall survive.

13. General Provisions

  • Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Campus Event Connect regarding the Services.
